A single virus, barely noticeable in a microscope has silenced a whole world. This is an exercise in humility. Because of this speck, this evil and dark David, the unbelieving Goliath called humanity has fallen. This reveals the tremendous weakness of this world. The devastation of this virus has reminded us of our weakness and need for God. In so doing, many people have already been seeking God for the first time, and for those who have abandoned him, have begun to return. Every crisis is a call to come to God. God wants to be involved in every aspect of life. History has shown that when humanity rose in pride and forgot about Him, he allowed calamities that would bring people back to seek Him. This was the story of Israel in the old testament, who abandoned and returned to God multiple times. It is the story of modern life, where the fear, and the hurt, as well as the devastation of life, has stopped the world in its tracks. The rat race has become the tortoise marathon because Mr hare has called off his sermon.
Let us be patient. As a Christian your task is to ask God to show you how to be effective beyond your person and reach the world: Pray, help, care, share and dare to be a better person. Don't be caught sleeping as I often have. For those of you who believe, Jesus is in you. This means that infinity is in you. Infinity means that this crisis will not defeat us. Express that infinity and it will overflow from your heart wherever you are quarantined.
Connect with your church, develop a personal and collective plan of action. Do not miss a single moment, because lives are at stake. This is one of the greatest opportunities to understand and share God. As Christians, we are created to excel and mature in times of crisis. See this time as an opportunity. It is not going to be resolved very quickly. We need to be patient with ourselves, our neighbours, the world, and ultimately God. Keep a diary of your voyage through this season. Invest the extra time in reading your bible and pursue prayer and praise. Prize fellowship with your Church brethren. Let your very life be a vessel of worship. The bible tells us that the Lord inhabits the praises of His people. As you obey God in this season, He will become more expressed in every aspect of your life. Don’t miss the opportunity.
Make it a point to share the word to all you can. In this time of darkness, where the whole world has brought to a standstill, we the church, have to be the light. This means that our purpose is to be the lighthouse that will guide the lost masses. Faith is not proved in times of ease. True faith is forged in suffering, unfair settings, times of tremendous and hurt. It is when we persevere in spite of the challenges, when we master the fire of the crucible, and become diamonds instead of coal, that we are ready to answer God’s call. For us Christians, this is a maturing and decisive season. How we personally and collectively respond to this season will have an incredible impact on

our lives and that of the word. Remember the butterfly effect. A single butterfly can cause a hurricane. To give this metaphor the Christian remix: You are the butterfly of love, and as you flap your wings in service, you can set in motion an incredible expression of God’s love.
